Q: Is this a credit card?
A: No, this is a discount card similar to the AAA or AARP Card for seniors. This card was created specifically for the LGBT Community, their families and friends.
Q: Do I show the card for all my discounts?
A: No, many of our big corporate sponsors have sent us special coupons that you can use as a member. Some you can use over and over again and some you can only use once. 99% of the time you can use your card at restaurants, hotels and retailers. Those coupons with deep discounts will be sent with your welcome packet.
Q: How do I pick my charity?
A: When you check out, you can pick your organization from the drop down menu and that charity will be printed on your card.
Q: How much do the charities get from my purchase?
A: From a full price purchase, the organization will get $5.00 When the card is sold at a discount, the charity will receive approximately 10%
Q: There are several restaurants I frequent that I would like to get on the program. How can I get them to join?
A: If you go to the home page, click on the Suggest a Business tab and let us know who you would like us to contact. We will do our best to get your favorite business on board.
Q: Will I be able to get a copy of my card on my phone so I don't have to actually carry the card in my wallet?
A: Yes, we are working on an application for phones to display a copy of your card, incase you forget it at home.
Q: Why should I support this program?
A: The Diversity Platinum Rewards Program was created to get the community discounts, help LGBT Organizations and support businesses that support us. The decals that appear in windows all over the world clearly display that the LGBT community has an important presence in the financial market, that we are a very important consumer. As more members and and businesses come on board, the value of the card will increase. You can save between $250.00 to $600.00 a year depending on how often you use the card, travel or bring local businesses on board. This is a program for all of us to enjoy.
